# The Social media layer

### Connect a channel

Open **Brand → Audience → Analytics** and choose a supported platform. A workspace administrator completes the external authorization.

After the connection is complete, return to i7OS. Initial analytics can take a short time to synchronize.

### Review performance

Depending on the connected platform and account, the analytics view can include:

* follower totals and growth
* impressions
* interactions
* engagement rate
* daily or weekly performance
* top-performing posts

Use the results as a signal for future work, not as an isolated report. Bring useful findings back into your brand strategy, content plan, or next sprint.

### Create a social post

Open **Create → Social media post**.

#### 1. Choose channels

Select one or more connected accounts.

#### 2. Prepare the visual

Upload an image and add text overlays when needed. Position the text, adjust its size, and check the live preview.

#### 3. Write the caption

Write or refine the caption. i7OS shows a suitable character limit based on the selected channels.

#### 4. Publish or schedule

Publish immediately, choose a future date and time, or save the post as a draft.

### Platform differences

Character limits, analytics, and publishing capabilities differ between platforms. Some networks also limit access to historical analytics or personal-profile data.

Always review the final preview and account selection before publishing.
